Russian Agricultural Division puts machinery fleet in winter storage
PAVA agricultural subsidiary fully prepared its machinery fleet for maintenance programme which is to start in March
BARNAUL, RUSSIA, January 13, 2010 /Agriculture PR News/ -- RAD farming units of the Altay and Krasnoyarsk Territories fully accomplished the task of putting agricultural machinery in winter storage. Inspection of operational readiness and safety-related items is complete, and the company specialists prepared the layout for maintenance works.
"Making great strides in 2009 season was much due to investment in precision farming methods and best aggregates, produced by world-known companies. Next year, we expect to grow as cultivated acreage will increase, and it is essential for us to preserve the fleet in good condition during winter, which will save costs and give a reliable technical basis", says A. Kalashnikov, RAD CEO.
The start of repair works is scheduled for end-March. Effective machinery service program precedes putting new land plots into production, and will be followed by gradual implementation of GPS technologies.
Russian Agricultural Division is a farming subsidiary of PAVA, currently controlling over 150,000 ha of land. It was established in 2008 to promote the company's vertical growth as an agroindustrial holding.
