Russian Agricultural Division: farmers prepare for winter plantings
RAD is cultivating soils and securing equipment for sowing winter wheat and rye in Altay and Krasnoyarsk Territories
BARNAUL, RUSSIA, July 21, 2009 /Agriculture PR News/ -- After spring crop sowings were fully completed in mid-June, Russian Agricultural Division, PAVA subsidiary (www.radcorp.ru) proceeded to preparation of soils for winter plantings scheduled for late August. The company decided to expand the cultivated area for winter wheat and rye to meet own processing needs and satisfy market demand. Planting of these crops lessens idle periods for the machinery which improves economic performance of the farming project.
For winter campaign, RAD puts in production land plots of all farms, including the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The favourable weather is expected to enhance operations, providing sufficient moisture level. Equipment, required for planting, as well as oncoming harvest of winter and spring crops, has been secured in full more.
Last year, RAD produced significant amount of winter cereals, and today the company farms are supplied with superstock seed material for these crops.
