More sowing complexes for RAD farm in the Kamensky District
Machinery fleet of Allac Ltd., one of RAD farms in the Altay Territory, was increased with sowing complexes from Morris and Salford to improve overall efficiency
BARNAUL, RUSSIA, April 23, 2009 /Agriculture PR News/ -- Proclaiming yield enhancement as a key point of the project, Russian Agricultural Division continues to equip its enterprises with up-to-date farming equipment. For the spring sowings, machinery fleet of Allac Ltd., RAD farm located in the Kamensky district of the Altay Territory, was increased with two sowing complexes.
With these aggregates from US-Canadian manufacturers Morris and Salford, RAD envisages to further improve quality of sowing operations by the enterprise - achieving better control over seeding rates and depth of seed placement.
It should be noted that Allac Ltd. operates one of the most fertile grounds in the company land bank, with yields 10-15% higher than the regional average. The farm grows high-quality crops such as winter and spring wheat, winter rye, buckwheat and sunflower.
The total planted area of Allac for 2009 sowing campaign is set at approximately 7,000 ha; last year the acreage was significantly expanded with massive development of fallow land. This spring the farm has already completed sowings of winter rye and wheat with the use of elite seeds.
