PAVA top shareholder receives a series of government awards
Pavel Igoshin, founder of a major Russian grain processor PAVA was awarded Certificates of Honour from Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Emergency Situations
BARNAUL, RUSSIA, March 18, 2009 /Agriculture PR News/ -- Russian Ministry of Agriculture awarded Pavel S. Igoshin, founder of PAVA, the prestigious Certificate of Honour. The trophy is to acknowledge many years of conscientious work in the agricultural and food industry, where PAVA is among the respected leaders.
Pavel S. Igoshin is one of main shareholders, who, in 1999, originated the company "Khleb Altaya" later re-branded as PAVA which presently is a huge, rapidly developing agribusiness. The award was received on his 60th anniversary, along with Certificate of Honour from Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations recognizing successful efforts in shipping food aid to developing countries. "Our strategy is not undercut by changes in global economy. PAVA is determined to contribute to world food security by maintaining stable volumes of humanitarian aid", he says.
The company has been a partner of the UN World Food Programme for more than 3 years, annually shipping fortified flour to the poor. In 2008 such shipments were made to 7 countries including Somalia,
Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Tajikistan and others.
These government awards came with an industry accolade from Russian Union of Flour Mills and Cereal Plants, member of the National Chamber of Commerce, uniting 198 companies. The distinction "For contributing to development of bakery products industry" acknowledges Mr Igoshin's excellence and insight in managing growth of PAVA - one of key players on Russian agricultural market.
