Internet Christmas Tree Farm Introduces Exciting 'Adopt a Christmas Tree' Program, Allows Families to Watch Their Christmas Tree Grow Year After Year

Santa's Forest Fresh Christmas Tree Farm unveils its Adopt a Christmas Tree program, allowing families to purchase a newly planted Christmas tree and watch it grow, year after year.

EVANS, WV, November 12, 2008 /Agriculture PR News/ -- Santa's Forest Fresh Christmas Tree Farm (http://www.freshchristmastree.com), is among the first to sell freshly cut Christmas trees over the Internet, today unveiled its Adopt a Christmas Tree program, allowing families to purchase a newly planted Christmas tree and watch it grow, year after year.

Depending upon size, most Christmas trees mature in about 10 years, at which point they can be harvested or dug from the ground and enjoyed during the holiday season. By adopting a Christmas tree, families or organizations receive a yearly photo of the tree and can, at any point, have it harvested and shipped to them. Customers can also visit the tree at the breathtaking Santa's Forest farm nestled in the rolling hills of Evans, West Virginia.

"We have been trying to convince people that purchasing a live, natural Christmas tree is environmentally responsible and creates a richer holiday experience," said Luke Wilbur, owner of Santa's Forest. "Natural Christmas trees are renewable and can be easily recycled or composted at the end of each holiday season. Adopting a Christmas tree embraces this environmental spirit and creates a unique learning and sentimental experience for the entire holiday season."

Christmas trees may be adopted by families, individuals, and even organizations. They make an excellent corporate gift, and can serve as a long-lasting memorial or tribute to a loved one. Some families may wish to purchase a tree in honor of the birth a child, since the tree can be harvested at any point in the child's life in honor of a significant event, such as a graduation or religious rite.

Adopting a Christmas tree costs $25 each year, which includes planting of the tree, yearly photographs, shearing and shaping, and monitoring for weeds and insects. Santa's Forest follows USDA guidelines in monitoring the health of trees each year.
